The Manassas Battlefield is the site of two major Civil War battles where the Union and Confederate armies fought. The First Battle of Bull Run, also known as the The First Battle of Manassas, was fought on July 21, 1861. The Second Battle of Bull Run or The Second Battle of Manssas, was fought a year later from August 28 to August 30, 1862.
Today you can visit the National Battlefield Park and explore the land where men fought and died over a century ago. Each year over 900,000 people travel near and far to visit the battlefield.
The Henry Hill Visitors Center is located at 6511 Sudley Road in Manassas. The phone number is 703-361-1339. The hours of Operation are 8:30 to 5:30 every day. The Visitors Center is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Visitors Center offers exhibits and artifacts displayed in a museum-like setting free of charge. Park Rangers are on hand to answer questions and provide maps and information. Guided tours are available. There is also a gift shop with many wonderful items for purchase.
